
The Snowboard D-Day, first ever European snowboarding day initiated by EuroSIMA -European Boardsports Industry Manufacturers Association - will open the winter seasonin different snow resorts next Sunday, December 17.
Authentic “open day”, the aim of the Snowboard D-Day is to enable the masses, from beginnersthrough experts of all ages, discover for free the snowboard culture and experience theexcitement of snowboarding during one day.
Professionals and volunteers of the snowboard scene will organize a full range of free activitiesto share their passion for snowboarding with a large public.
In the program: snowboard lessons, product testing, snowboard demos, contests,environmental awareness, concerts, parties and many other surprises…
Many European countries are already involved in the event: Italy, Spain, Germany, France,Austria, Slovakia, Switzerland, the UK, and even Japan would like to join the movement!!! The Snowboard D-Day will welcome Mathieu CREPEL, the first TTR World SnowboardChampion and 2005 FIS World Cup Halfpipe Champion. Mathieu will be the Ambassador of the2006 edition of D-Day and will take part in the various activities and share his experience ofbeing a pro rider and his passion for snowboarding with others.
